Geovanny<\/a> will be attending the Global Leaders Summit hosted by the City of Vienna (Austria) on September 19th, where the nomination will be celebrated. The summit is a platform for leaders from around the world to come together and shape the future of leadership.<\/p>\n

The mayor of his hometown Azua, Rafael Hidalgo, joined the congratulatory messages to Geovanny Vicente-Romero<\/a>, saying: “The honor is ours, knowing that we have brilliant young people, professionals excelling beyond the seas and with their performance, they raise the flag of Azuanidad high”. With these words, Mayor Hidalgo recognized Geovanny’s significant contribution to the city of Azua de Compostela, which in the past has recognized his work by naming him Adoptive Son of the city, a title that Geovanny has honored with his continued work and dedication to the community and his country.<\/p>\n

About Geovanny Vicente-Romero:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Geovanny Vicente-Romero<\/strong>\u00a0writes an internationally acclaimed\u00a0column for CNN<\/a>.\u00a0He is a Washington, D.C.-based\u00a0political strategist, consultant and lecturer<\/a>. Geovanny teaches Strategic Communications for Professionals at Columbia University\u2019s School of Professional Studies (SPS) where he also serves Columbia University\u2019s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Committee<\/em> as a member for the year 2022-2023. He hosts the Dialogues with Geovanny Vicente-Romero<\/em><\/strong><\/a> where he converses with Presidents, Ministers and international leaders. At the same time, Geovanny teaches adult education students at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School. Vicente-Romero publishes investigative and analytical articles on political communication, democracy, development, human rights, governance, elections, the environment, and the role of women in society. He founded the Dominican Republic Center of Public Policy, Development, and Leadership (CPDL-RD). Geovanny earned a master\u2019s degree in political communications and strategic governance from The George Washington University and is a PhD candidate in political science and public administration at the University of Murcia, Spain.\u00a0 Geovanny is the recipient of the Dominican National Youth Award for professional excellence, the nation\u2019s highest honor for people 35 and under. Vicente-Romero is also the recipient of the Napolitan Victory Awards (Column of The Year Award 2020), granted by The Washington Academy of Political Arts & Sciences\u2122.
